Careers & Education Day
at the
UK National Earth Observation Conference
7 September
University of Birmingham

We invite students aged 14 to 19 to take part in the final day of the UK National Earth Observation Conference.

  • You may simply join us to explore careers in this sector through educational activities and hands-on exhibits, and to meet scientists and people from the space industry.
  • Or your students may wish to present some of their own work: if they have used earth observation or remotely sensed data in coursework or another project, they can apply to display a poster.

The conference will bring together scientists to share the latest research and developments in this expanding field. They will be joined by representatives from companies and organisations who will be available to talk to students about career requirements and paths.

This is an invaluable opportunity to find out more about the many uses of earth observation, meet a variety of experts and experience a professional conference.

The programme will start at 10:00 (delegate registration from 09:30) and run through until 13:00.

Submit a student poster

Please submit an abstract for each poster your students would like to present using this poster submission form by noon on Monday 2 July.

(Note: Students who are taking part in the MELT programme should follow instructions from IRIS.)
