What is it?
The National Physical Laboratory hosts Wavelength 2026; a two day conference that brings early career researchers together to share their work in an inclusive and supportive environment. The event is run by RSPSoc and invites both academics and those working in industry to showcase their work to their peers through an oral presentation or poster.
The conference maintains a broad scope, making it a fantastic opportunity to explore the wider world of remote sensing, connect with other academics and professionals and grow your network. Whether your research focuses on Earth observation, urban development, disaster and risk monitoring, or geological processes, there is a space for your work to be presented at Wavelength!
What is included?
A full schedule will be released to participants; however, you can expect:
· Multiple keynote speakers from experts in the field (speakers to be announced).
· A choice of practical workshops to improve your hard skills relating to remote sensing.
· Lab tours of NPL’s satellite instrumentation calibration facilities.
· Oral presentations and poster sessions.
· Opportunities to network with other early career scientists at evening socials.
